Not having a car, I was dependent on Edinburgh’s buses — until I got myself a bicycle! Now I’m discovering all sorts of beautiful spots that the bus doesn’t go. And thank gosh for Komoot, an app for planning routes, as without it, I’d be doing my usual tour of cul-de-sacs and dead ends. They seem to have an almost gravitational pull for me when I’m choosing which way to go.
