Helen Campbell's copy of a Japanese painting

September 10, 2016

My mother, Helen Campbell, loved Japanese and Chinese art, as evidenced by this copy she made of a Japanese painting.  I adored it as a child and I still do now.   Notice the precise beauty of the flowers, both the one in the woman's hand and those on the kimono.   Even though it is a copy, it very obviously in her own style.
